I thought it was one of those old jokes about "Remember how coffee places used to just serve coffee?" so when Cooper ordered a medium and she asked "a medium what?" he freaked out that now they had a bigger menu or something.

The only reason I don't post Sunday Luann is because I don't feel like it (I'm more interested in the awful soap opera than in awful one-off gags). There's no thread ban or anything. If you or anybody else feels like posting Sunday Luanns, by all means, go for it. You won't be stepping on my toes.

Both Scary-Go-Round and the original Bobbins series are offline, but you can buy the pdfs of Scary-Go-Round from Allisons Gumroad site.

That I said I did grab the original Bobbins strips, so if you pm me I might be able to send you them.

Do the SGR Gumroad editions contain the guest strips/Dr. Ladysounds columns/etc.? I don't blame Allison for monetizing his decades-old content but I'm bummed if that stuff is just gone now.

I know the Marx Brothers AND the Stooges, because my dad remains a huge dork to this day. He got to meet the Stooges once, I think it was before Shemp was with them if I remember the story right.

I recognize the Marx Brothers but it's still a pretty deep cut considering the lack of a good visual. It would be completely inscrutable if I didn't know the reference.

The real reason you should grow your own peppers is that it's almost always way more cost efficient to do that compared to any other kind of vegetable. Peppers are expensive.

Shemp was the second stooge to join Moe and it was only a few months after Moe started out. :v:

But your dad is just a bit off, understandably so. Shemp was actually the first "third stooge," (even though he joined before Larry did) but he eventually quit and went solo, and was replaced by Curly. Eventually Curly suffered a stroke and Moe had to convince Shemp to come back, which was a bit difficult since Shemp was actually doing fairly well with a solo career. He did come back, being promised he could leave when Curly got better, but Curly never did. So it's understandable that given that a little under half his career as a stooge was after Curly, people probably do assume Curly was the first third stooge and Shemp came after, even though this isn't the case since Shemp was there from the start.

And then Shemp died and was replaced by Joe Bessar and nobody likes Joe Bessar.

Might be a bit of a New York City thing -- my old apartment had the same warning sign forbidding the dumping of flammable objects down the trash chute.
