It's not referencing, it's using a crop of the box art. It's lazy as gently caress. e: hm, okay maybe I'm wrong. The tree pattern looked really close but upon further inspection perhaps not. But yeah, either way that assignment was given to the junior designer with a turnaround time of a day.
