Ky straight up trashes Sol when he fights him to kill for the first time during the afterstory of Revelator 2. Sol is pretty clearly established as an idiot at fighting during the same sequence and he's been pretty consistently portrayed at using his power to crush things instead of actual combat skill. He constantly says as much in several win quotes.
