can't say I particularly enjoy the idea of brown sauce there, but it's better than the commenter who insisted you use salad cream (read: mayo; it's not quite the same but it's the closest analogue America has) instead. :barf:

I don't think a waffle belongs in a sandwich.

But other than that, there's just the general fact that english food is the least visually appealing regional cuisine in the world.

it's probably more the bit where the sandwich with 3 different starches is being billed as being healthy

Lettuce as a bread replacement is just fast food trying to get you to continue to ignore the fact that the fillings still have 800 calories. It ain't a proper sammich.

This is just bullshit when the rest of northern and eastern Europe exists. We have a lot of brown, sure, but an extensive array of beautiful desserts and roast dinners to balance that out.

Bread cheese is a cheesy sponge. If you dip it in anything it soaks it up and you get a nice little cheese sponge soaked in flavor. It won't fall apart like regular bread either.

It's great dipped in wine or cider too.

We're talking about the country that has sandwiches made from bread, with toasted bread in the middle.

Cheese and wine pairings are a classic, but a) bread doesn't fall apart unless you have FAKE BREAD and b) I do not want cheese coffee and c) how DARE you for even suggesting that

They’re potato waffles, potatoes perfectly shaped to fit in bread!

Baked beans are great in jaffles, the whole sealed edges thing is kind of critical. I can't imagine not wearing half the bean drippings if you tired to eat it in sandwich form

yeah, I tried it after hearing people talk about it and I had to see for myself but it didn't seem that much better than butter. it does what you want it to do though and isn't nasty as you might assume at first glance.

it's easier to spread, you get a more even, less burnt cover and it is crunchier in the end than butter, imho
