Scuttlebutt was that hillary was blackout drunk and couldn’t do a speech, which I totally believe. She’s known for being able to knock a few back, but that’s way too humanizing so the campaign never touched on it at all

yeah AOC saying that she hopes to get M4A in the next 30 years was imo the perfect distillation of her transformation into a congresscritter. the not so subtle assumption that she'll still be sitting in the House doing the Good Work for 30 years, yet strangely has gotten nothing she campaigned for done in that time period is exactly how members of congress think.

If you actually care about policy AOC is worse than an establishment Democrat at this point since her entire role now is to take the anger and frustration of people under 40 and channel that back into the party. She's offering the false hope she is working towards solutions instead of the reality that she is just explaining why the stuff she was outraged about half a year ago is cool now and why her constant losses in the face of both Republicans and Conservative Democrats are actually victory wine.

All you need to know about aoc is that she was telling everyone who was mad that she wasn't doing anything that she was building up her political capital to make change. Then she was rewarded for not making waves and voting pelosi by getting kicked off all the committees and now she's very excited about access to COBRA for 6 months.

The minute Biden won immigration policy became a problem too complex for any one administration to solve, and sometimes putting kids in concentration camps for weeks a time is just necessary.
