There looks like a tonne a good value can be found on this card. I'm interested to know if you had to pick one underdog from it, which would you take? Tucker and Anders aren't the longest odds but look like the best value to me in that I think they both stand a really good chance of winning.

In the monthly thread we were discussing how Rafa Garcia is an interesting underdog, but that bet has all of the risks of a guy making the jump to the big leagues. TL;DR though he's a Mexican fighter (i.e. probably has good hands) who is an undefeated Combate Americas champion (has gone 5 full rounds) fighting a guy who has been KOed on the feet, and he has fought UFC vets. Apparently he also has an iron chin.

Thanks, I just didn't know enough about him to have any insight. Combate is generally not a joke promotion, so that's a reasonable pedigree for him.

I do a quick breakdown of every fight for every ufc card in the monthly thread and just pull out interesting things that I find.

One fighter on this card has a Win by "Illegal Bite".

Well gently caress, Anders was literally about to win, all he had to do was *not* that. Considering last week as well... What does a no decision mean for a bet anyway?

As for Tucker... well... shows how much I know! Never consider my picks to be good ones is the lesson here.

stipe's at +102 on draftkings. i love francis and will be rooting for him, but stipe as a dog seems crazy to me. i also am unsure of Almeida at +240, and I think Woodley could be decent value at +210. but i will never ever bet on Tyron Woodley

Thanks but my bookie has his own odds which are sometimes different that. He uses some stupid Canadian betting site to get the odds.

Everyone knows I know absolutely nothing about MMA. Here is my gut feeling. Stipe has had a great run but I actually think he loses this fight. I’m rethinking my betting here. Which I really don’t want to do. I love Stipe I have played poker with the guy and he is so down to earth and really cool so it loving crushes me that I might bet against him.

I don’t know what to do and might wait until closer to fight time to place my bet.

I think Francis lands a punch and Stipe goes to sleep.

Francis only loses in the same way he did last time. The question is: can Stipe avoid getting hit before he can get ahold of Francis and lean on him? He made it through last time. I don't think he does it again.

Stipe could get slept at any point. Ngannou has scary strength, and he has only gotten better over time.

This is my thinking. I feel like Stipe is gonna get knocked out in the first round.

I'm not a betting man fellas, but we've seen nothing from Francie (as much as I love him) that will convince me he even gets a chance to knock stipe out. Stipes too disciplined and solidly defensive to get caught by the old ford escort.

Francis always has the punchers chance, but I think Its going to be a big over reach by francis, he'll leave himself out of position and stipe will go straight to a double or single leg and thats what round after round is going to look like, (it'll get easier as ngannou gases) because he is never going to stand and trade with the guy. Top tier heavyweight kickboxers certainly could but I don't think anyone in the UFC could do it for long. Now Im not hugely confident stipe could win this fight this time next year. So I see him retiring with most of his brain cells intact fairly soon. Atleast I hope so. He's the heavyweight goat at this point anyway. Chances are good its the winner of this vs JBJ next for the heavyweight championship.

$4.30 Almeida by decision at +625

Can't believe you got Francis by KO/TKO at +210. He's -111 on Betsafe for that prop and Stipe is +200 to win by KO/TKO.

Draftkings has em at that. I was surprised the delta between him by KO/TKO and him by decision. DC said in his prefight that Francis has like 6 minutes to win, and that sounds about right lol. maybe 2 rounds, but I think he comes out, flings punches, and lands a shot
