it’s intended for vibe but i’ve been learning japanese at home as one of my isolation hobbies so i can actually read them. the japanese writing on each cap doesn’t really correspond with the english keys that they share. i haven’t checked a japanese keyboard layout to see if it matches that.

edit: actually it does correspond to a kana layout so i accidentally set myself up with a learning aid.

The pencil guitar is really cool.
Sometimes little handmade acoustic instruments do sound quite good. I've talked to a maker that lives in Jamaica who builds banjos out of locally grown gourds and driftwood.

Autocorrect works like poo poo for dvorak and other layouts because all the learning is done with qwerty training data, so this would be a special kind of hell for me.

Which is why my work hardware dept is probably going to issue one to me if it were ever made.

oh, my, god. Becky, look at her bitrate.
do they still have that bug or feature where pressing 1 or 2 would be accepted, like if your code was 2222 and you pressed 1111 it would still open

or the kne where it doesn’t matter what you press before or after as long as the right code was pressed so if your code was 2222 then someone pressing 135222233 would still open

there are only five buttons so 1111 and 2222 are the same, as are 1212, 2111, etc. i don’t remember if there was a timeout or it noticed extra characters or not. we are kind of wandering from keebs to secfucks though.

[ASK] me about OS/2 Warp
there's about a one second timer on it, if you punch it in too fast or hold two buttons at once it doesn't parse, so yeah. five solenoids on a little carrier that mag-sticks to the door, 1k of arduino code and a max of 10.5 minutes and you can get into any keypad Ford

also it doesn't relock if you type in the code and then keep pressing digits AND the 'lock' code is generally two buttons pressed at once so you don't even have to time it, just come back after a coffee and it's unlocked

God drat, a fizz buzz measuring contest at work left me stumped when a question was about a minimum de bruijn sequence, obviously without mentioning de bruijn. Somebody just completely smoked me by writing a dense block of text that generated a sequence half as long as I could even come up with.

I swear that guy had no idea how his code worked. He sure as hell didn't know the problem had a name.

isn't part of the cost due to the majority of keycaps being drip-fed in "limited sets" through drops or whatever?
