You cheated not only the game, but yourself.
But most of all, you cheated BABA

My biggest problem with Mary Worth's current DOGSDOGSDOGS storyline is that it's not even about dogs, it's so vanilla and bland you could replace dogs with anything. Overboard does "I love my dog SO MUCH" right by conveying how dopey labs are and how much fun they are.

Keep in mind that Val suddenly vanished from their fishing trip, and when Beric went looking he found signs of a struggle. If it's not a picture of something that's already happened, it would at least seem like a credible threat.
Point!

Though now that I think about it there is also the larger issue that they must know Val well enough that by rights their answer to "we have kidnapped your son" should just be "lol good luck with that."

So if I'm reading this right, Isopaljo was planning to torch the Mämmi office to commit insurance fraud but a freak lightning strike did the job for him?

Luann doing a "look how great I am" gesture on the third panel looks is her making this entire situation all about herself again. Who cares about Tara's potential trauma, let's talk about how generous Luann is!

I'm not sure, but I believe the middle panel of the final strip is referencing Fragonard's painting The Swing. It's mirrored and missing the young man, but you know, the suggestion is there.

Bonus:
All those tired cliches about how bad weather forecasts are made more sense when poo poo like doppler radar forecasting was still pretty new(radar forecasting only started in the late 50s, and NEXRAD was implemented in the 90s), and also you weren't likely to get forecasts as fine-grained geography-wise.

Yeah; not 100% sure about the "to commit insurance fraud" part but that's be general gist of it.

I wasn't really expecting this bickering between the various M-Club members leading to this; it's been fascinating to follow! :allears: Although I'm sad that Pylvänäinen is on a spot where they're being pushed around by everyone while ultimately not even doing what they'd really want to do (write whodunits).

I really hope that Condo intended for this to be "look, Everett can be a piece of poo poo too".
