My biggest problem with Mary Worth's current DOGSDOGSDOGS storyline is that it's not even about dogs, it's so vanilla and bland you could replace dogs with anything. Overboard does "I love my dog SO MUCH" right by conveying how dopey labs are and how much fun they are.

Mämmilä (August 25, 1990) I scanned these in big batches and this slipped through. On the page you barely notice that the colors are slightly wonky but apparently the scanner made it much worse.

If it's not a picture of something that's already happened, it would at least seem like a credible threat. Though now that I think about it there is also the larger issue that they must know Val well enough that by rights their answer to "we have kidnapped your son" should just be "lol good luck with that."

Dinky Dinkerton and Flyin' Jenny Oct. 1st, 1940 I need to get better about finding other neat stuff in the newspapers I use. There's a little educational segment that occasionally catches my eye. Today it did because I liked the picture: The 7th had a bit of news that I recognised and was very Axa Oh no, not Dirk.

2017 Spiderman 1979 comics A double dose because I realized I skipped a day after uploading them, and was too lazy to save them all for tomorrow. Bonus: All those tired cliches about how bad weather forecasts are made more sense when poo poo like doppler radar forecasting was still pretty new(radar forecasting only started in the late 50s, and NEXRAD was implemented in the 90s), and also you weren't likely to get forecasts as fine-grained geography-wise. Locher Tracy You can just feel the action through the art. Origins of the Sunday Comics Footrot Flats

Yeah; not 100% sure about the "to commit insurance fraud" part but that's be general gist of it. I wasn't really expecting this bickering between the various M-Club members leading to this; it's been fascinating to follow! Although I'm sad that Pylvänäinen is on a spot where they're being pushed around by everyone while ultimately not even doing what they'd really want to do (write whodunits).
