There are many "literally zero effort, million to one shot" opportunities out there if you're really interested. Buy some penny stocks. Buy a powerball ticket. Saying "drat, if only I had gotten into and then held a bunch of dogecoin" is just stupid

Work is insanely quiet, so I'm catching up on threads I haven't visited in a while.

Currently, I'm precisely 100 pages back and slowly catching up.

It kinda does. The thing about currency is that it runs on the assumption that what people tell you it is worth is also what it is actually worth. The only reason forex and currency speculation can exist is because when you sell someone a thousand dollars for the equivalent amount of yen, they trust that they actually get one thousand dollars worth of buying power out of the deal. If you had a hundred million dollars and couldn't exchange it for another currency anywhere because nobody was willing to give you a hundred million dollars worth of Euros or Yen or Pound Sterling for it anymore, you would know that the world has decided that they no longer trust your money to be worth what the exchange rates claim it is.

That, for all intents and purposes, means it actually isn't worth that much, because money has only the value that everyone can agree it does. Even if individual exceptions might still be willing to take your money, that fact doesn't really change.
