I saw The Dark Knight like three times in theaters, I was one of those teenagers More recently I watched Digimon Last Evolution Kizuna almost immediately after finishing it. The intro to that movie is really good and has my favorite version of Butter-Fly, despite the goon Digimon thread’s insistence that movie killed their parents

i cant remember the last time ive ever watched a whole movie. like, i watched several movies this weekend: george clooney in space, Kill The Rich the Movie: India Style, and ET 2 but I was doing something else at the same time, drawing, modelling, videogame, reading the wiki for a different movie i didn't see and won't, etc

Last night I watched the shining but it had the shining running in reverse overlayed on it and abbey road was playing and apparently there's a whole community of people who think this was kubrick's true vision. I will say, there were a lot of really good moments

I watched Rambo 5 today. It was unbelievably stupid even by the standards of the Rambo franchise. The final setpiece was about as absurd as the kill count section from Hot Shots Part Deux

Cobra, Tango & Cash, and Cliffhanger are probably my favourites. The latter two are definitely helped by having great villains as well.

 this movie completely rules. arnold plays a u.s. marshal whose job is to fake people's deaths. he does this by stealing bodies from the morgue and planting them in the people's houses, which he then blows up. if you like house explosions this is the movie for you. the actual plot revolves around a defense contractor that has developed the most video game rear end electromagnetic science fiction sniper rifle you've ever seen. arnold's character, as usual, is pathologically incapable of not adding insult to injury. it's so good

i got a super mario bros. game & watch. it's smaller and cuter than i expected and i like it. obviously not a great value proposition at $50 for smb, lost levels, and a mario-themed remake of the first g&w game, "ball," but i think game & watch stuff is just so cool. what's a shame is that this thing would be perfect for playing any nes, game boy, or gbc game, and it probably never will. it has a usb-c port but with no data pins so you have to unscrew the back and connect something directly to the logic board to flash it. what's even more of a shame is that if they released another one of these and were like "it plays metroid" i'd probably drop another $50 on it

The only thing I can figure is that it was done so that all 3 central characters would appear a bit in every episode, but that the choice came too late in production to make the transition between eras feel natural.
