It probably will be, so far both movies released under Premier access have gone free three months after release. I'll chill until October, which would be when I would have seen it normally if They kept it in theaters for a May release.

I did see this copy in one of the press releases that makes me concerned for the direction They re taking Shang-Chi: "Marvel Comics’ original Shang-Chi character is a Chinese-American superhero. In the comics, he is an extraordinary master of numerous unarmed and weaponry-based wushu styles, including the use of the gun, nunchaku and jian."

Clarified that for you.

Yeah at one point in the comics they had to go "Fu Manchu????? No that was only an alias, Shang-Chi's father's real name is actually Zheng Zu!" Apparently Disney are going to sidestep the issue altogether and use The Mandarin in the film instead.

My brother was a big fan of the original 1970s 'The Hands of Shang-Chi Master of Kung Fu' comics and it actually took him several decades to put together a complete collection but he doesn't seem to be all that interested in the upcoming film.

Copyrights magic.

Technically Trademark magic. The original novels featuring Fu Manchu have fallen into public domain, but the author's estate has continually asserted their trademark and trademarks don't lapse with age, only with disuse. So Marvel could write stories featuring the character of Fu Manchu, or a character that was his son, but they can't use Fu Manchu's name or likeness in advertising or promotion; it's a situation not unlike DC faced with Shazam/Captain marvel, and like DC they decided a while back that it just wasn't worth worrying about and changed the name.

This is incidentally why Disney isn't that worried about Mickey mouse falling into public domain in 2024, because that character exists almost entirely as a trademark these days. They don't care that you can watch Steamboat Willy for free as long as they can continue to bring the hammer down on anyone selling off-brand mouse-hats.

I mean the Fu Manchu bit is a million times better than the fact his father sought out a white woman for her superior genetics to make him. Which is, you know, probably not something they are going to touch on in his backstory.

Edgar Wright said during Scott Pilgrim vs. the World’s 10th anniversary shindigs that they had planned repertory screenings in theaters for it but then the pandemic happened, and he’d like to try it again “when it’s safe.” Well, it’s happening April 30th. Which is not safe and you shouldn’t go. Oh well.

He also re-confirms that a 4K Blu-Ray is coming soon but doesn’t have a release date for that yet.

The NZ TV show 'Wellington Paranormal' just had an episode featuring people dressed in lovely cheap knockoff Halloween costumes labeled "Lost Traveller Glasses Man" but one of the characters kept accidentally calling them "Where's Wally" costumes and the other characters had to keep reminding him they had to use the legally distinct generic name

Yeah, it’s best we let Val Kilmer be for now. That being said, I did love Kevin Smith casting him as the grim dark version of Bluntman in Jay and Silent Bob Reboot, since he wouldn’t have to talk there. It was a nice touch.
