Oof, that cuts deep. Growing up the only kids my age that lived anywhere near us were girls, and we were good friends until all the adults started that same poo poo and made it weird. We were still so young there wasn't anything even remotely romantic in our friendships, and we didn't understand the jokes, but we understood that adults were making fun of us so the friendships just kinda died.

Great job, adults.

Once I had a gaggle of mums at the restaurant table next to me who were doing the "ooh he's already checking out the girls" in reference to a 6-ish year old girl and an infant boy at the table. I very nearly made a scene. Stop shipping your preschool children.

Someone's been reading Ella Cinders.

AUNT GWEN'S COLD SHAPE (!)

nishi koichi posted:

this has been plaguing me for decades: does leroy lockhorn have a mustache, or is the line of his mouth shaped into a permanently crabby expression?

When I've seen other artists include cameos of the Lockhorns in their own style, they draw Leroy with a moustache, a scruffy and thin one, not a big robust one. That said, my mind refuses to parse Leroy in his own universe as having a moustache. I always read it as a grumpy lip and even knowing the likely truth cannot undo decades of self-reinforced belief.

The mystery of Leroy's mustache is probably exactly like Tina's "eyebrows" and Charlie Brown's baldness

I feel relieved that she did used to wear them, likely when I was reading the comics more often and that's why I still picture her with them. As for recently I forget if I noticed it or if it was pointed out by someone on here or by Josh Fruhlinger's blog.

Her knobby rear end head still makes me uncomfortable though

The "rabbit license" thing confuses me even more now.

As I said before I know there's a group of rabbits who are resisting being murdered, which makes them outlaws. But how are they outlaws? If they give up their rabbit license, they're just "long eared rodents" which makes them technically omnivorous which means they're no longer necessarily prey, and that means since they're technically predators they should be able to fight back against animals trying to eat them without being in violation of the law, same as how Rudy can get into a fight with Vin and that's not illegal. I know they can't kill the predators since it's illegal to kill an animal except to eat it, but as long as they're fighting back with non lethal methods and don't have a rabbit license then they should be totally fine. But for some reason they're not.

This is another great one.
