I checked Contrapoints' timeline and her most recent post is equating anyone who criticized Lindsay with some alt-right jackass who's cheering and saying that they should get Jenny next. Which, to keep it relevant, apparently people are still trying to take Jenny out with photoshopped tweets. It's not even just YA trends, like the core complaint being stated is fairly common; that a lot of media created by non-western people gets compared as derivative of media made by western creators who used those same cultures as inspiration in the first place. Like avatar was huge and inspirational to a lot of up and coming creators, certainly, but it's going to rub people the wrong way when they identify with a piece of media as being more in touch with their culture and it gets dismissed as a knockoff of avatar. It has less to do with Disney its self and more to do with weird poo poo a lot of people, especially in media analysis and criticism fields, do fairly frequently. Like if someone from England came out with a brand new story based on Arthurian legend and everyone online was just like "lmao you're just copying FATE/Zero" based largely on superficial elements like a character having Excalibur, it'd be pretty weird, right? Because that's what people have basically been doing ever since Avatar got popular. "Wow, your story has X? What's with all these Avatar knockoffs lately???"

I think a big part of why Jenny's drama rarely shows up is even when she does say something stupid she doesn't double down and instead just moves on. Like when she tweets something like this https://twitter.com/JennyENicholson/status/1374404789274959873 when the reality is that the reason Knuckles was trending was because a white woman edited a japanese artist's fanart to make Knuckles black and then said she'd "fixed" it which is a lovely thing to do. After this she never mentions it again, doesn't respond and will just block anybody correcting her.
