One of the writers described the setting as "magical modernism" and it kinda works. I love the mishmash of histories, different cultures, and even technologies that developed out of the world's material history.

yeah. its very Gabriel Garcia Marquez like where its bleak but has weird amounts of whimsy. like i said, it also reminds me alot of dishonored where the world is sorta and it has some cross over with ours but the technology is all over the place. its a mix of like weird "modern steampunkish" and 70s/80s/90s.

Rope Kid is playing DE right now. Well, more accurately he's drinking and rambling about game design while occasionally clicking a dialogue choice.

Not that specifically but there are definitely voiceover bugs where things will just stop voicing completely. Sounds like they're aware and patching it though. Can't come soon enough I'm dying to play this.

Man, so far the voice acting has been decent to good otherwise, but this new Titus loving sucks. The guy is just laying this gruff redneck act on way the hell too thick. The original dude was actually pretty decent, so this is extra frustrating for such a prominent character.

Also is this your comment: "Terrible mismatch between Streamer and Game. Its like I'm listening to a play-through by the Sunday Friend. If you are interested in this game's themes I urge you to find another stream."

Waited for the Final Cut to play this, loving it so far. I'm confused how the in-game clock works though? I read it advances when you pick dialogue and "freezes" at 2am but I'm worried about running out of time to talk to everyone/do everything I want to in a given day. Is it not a big deal or is it something that has to be managed a little?

Time passes when you 'talk', not when you walk.

Time pauses at 2am, go to bed.

There is not an actual time limit, IIRC. Though diagetically there is. Definitely not a meaningful one. There are some things that unlock with days though so just play. Push on.

EDIT : If you want to force time to pass, read books and stuff. Mostly useful because thoughts take time to digest, but you may have other reasons.

EDIT EDIT :

At the risk of taking a shitpost seriously, try interacting with relevant things (like, said body) to talk to Kim and yourself about what you should do. Also you have a task/quest list, J by default the notebook icon in the lower right. Or just never get it down. Who wants to be a cop anyway?

Despite how it feels and what people say there's not actually a time limit on anything, no need to rush quests at all.

IIRC, after a certain time you can be screwed, especially if you leave it till like midnight to even start talking about it. But maybe they patched that.
