I think the key word that prevents that from being a scorching take is “offer.” I wouldn’t mind if any kid had the opportunity to go on blockers without requiring parental consent after a therapeutic evaluation. the vast majority wouldn’t of course but it can’t hurt to give them the option

With jazz you need a shorthand to communicate “play a Bb major chord, with a flat fifth and seventh, but a sharp ninth” so instead of writing all that out you go “Bb7(b5)#9” you don’t need that quite as much in a lot of the popular stuff you’d hear so you could get away with just writing standard triads and seventh chords, but there’s quite a few harmonic moves borrowed from jazz that use those simpler chords. tl;dr: jazz absolutely had an effect on the music you hear today, and since music theory isn’t a rule set but instead a way to describe musical relationships we hear, of course jazz effected it

And those takes about “sexual mutual aid” that make the online leninists so mad are mostly not serious anyway and just people trying to maintain an active online profile to sell their porn politely and nicely so they can survive under capitalism. “Will people trade sex under communism” is an absurdly insignificant question and not one to be legislated through posting years before it’s even clear that the human race will survive capitalism.
