Honestly... I’ve been trying to get my American family into soccer and this is why they get drawn away. This a pathetic showing of cowardice, and I can’t blame to them for straying away from this “sport” for a more stoic endeavor like football. I wish these pathetic soft-skinned losers would grow a pair of balls and start acting like men instead of children. Nobody with any sense of rationalism can look at this and consider it okay. I love the world of soccer, but the concept of flopping goes against any sense of pride, honor, or forbearance that I have been taught to value. I do not understand how these players, with most of their ancestors being brave soldiers (on both sides) in the 2 world wars the decimated Europe, can act in such a timorous manor. Where has honor gone? To sacrifice one’s veneration for a free kick is to what end? How can they look at themselves in the mirror afterwards? Perhaps this “sport” needs a massive penalty for such cowardice (see WW1 tactics for cowardice) to build back the integrity of the game.
