There hasn't been a succesful worker's revolution in Britain (yet!) but the Militant had mass dimensions in Liverpool in the 80s as the dominant influence in the Labour council that refused to make cuts. You may like to listen to Bill Mullins talk about the struggle against the Industrial Relations Act in the early 70s that made it possible to jail stewards for illegal action.
