We all know these are empty threats, and we know that they know that these are empty threats, but... exactly how enthusiastic should big businesses remain about donating to GOP politicians, after all this poo poo? Sometimes empty threats precede real threats. Can't wait to find out where this strategy takes the GOP next!

This got like zero coverage too, the number of kids in CBP overflow facilities has finally started to decrease, the GOP outrage machine has already moved on to devil shoes or something.

I had to deal with this with my mom two years ago (well, not the whole "dying from a pandemic" thing) and the good news is you, personally, will not inherit the debt

however, if your dad has any assets when he dies those will have to be used to pay off the debts before anything passes on to you

double however, unscrupulous creditors will try to convince you and/or make it seem like you, personally, do owe your father's debts, don't fall for it! also maybe get a lawyer

Oh, my brother and I are under no illusion that we will end up getting anything at all once my father is gone. We just want to make sure that we aren't on the hook for whatever he's doing in the run up to personal bankruptcy number 3.

I'd be willing to vote in the primary to arrest Paxton even if obviously all republican candidates are terrible and trying to get ready for the next prospective fascist strongman to come along to sell out their constituents for, and I'll probably vote dem in the main election.

Where my parents live, the mayor is stepping down and the two current frontrunners are a guy who's bragging about his past experience as a cop that was apparently long enough ago nobody can find the records and a guy who was kicked off the town council for constantly lying and got indicted for graft over a gun range. This is a land of bad and worse options.
