It got critical acclaim but it felt like there was more push back against it for a mixture of good and lovely reasons.

Just copy and paste TLOU with TLOU2's assets. I can't think what in that game actually needs to be remade. Jak & Daxter is right there if they want to do something new with a Naughty Dog property.

The Last of Us is an odd one, it's not a bad time but it never struck me as outstanding, I remember it feeling increasingly rushed towards the end. It's just not exciting to hear they are remaking it, almost feels a bit surreal like it's a joke.

It's something you can play to just kick back and have a nice time. There's just enough depth and interactivity in the combat to make it fun (assuming you like turn-based combat to begin with) but not so much to be intimidating or require a ton of thought or planning.
