That is pretty neat, and yeah it really left me baffled with the EV.

From a quick look, finding the exact amount if taxes is hard because it varies by area, but after proving you have a car park, paid Car Acquisition Tax (based on value), Car Weight Tax and Vehicle Tax (both recurring), passed emissions and inspection, a few older posts suggest the thick end of US$10k to get on the road. No import duties just customs fees. Then fill it up at US$5+ a gallon. At least you don’t have to RHD convert it like you do in my country, adding NZ$50k. Dunno how it works with cars bought in via US Military though.

That is definitely a first gen 955 non turbo S model (looks like xenon projectors not halogens, the base was rarely optioned with the xenon's but they come standard on the S and turbo iirc. Also turbo's got larger grilles) Can confirm, the fenders are thicc AF and would make for a good step.

Bonus while coming home from getting my daughter vaccinated: Zoom and enhance: OK, still hard to see, but that is a mid-to-late '80s Chevrolet Sprint Turbo (first gen Suzuki Swift. The second gen Swift became the Geo Metro when GM created Geo), in decent condition. I haven't seen one of those in the wild in *years*. Neat! 1.0L of turbocharged fury. Turbonique. They had various sizes, and a direct thrust version used on the kart. Old timers in my facebook racing page said they were sketchy at best and generally not worth the money. It was not long before the NHRA banned them and the fuel was restricted by the government. By your description, I thought you might have been talking about the Howmet TX. Neat project, fast car, too bad it was built for endurance racing which was the absolute worst application for a turbine.
