What it tetters into depends on which area you're at currently. The best game they did (back on topic, unpopular opinion) is South Park: The Stick of Truth. Even though it's a Paper Mario knockoff at its core the script written by the South Park dudes is so goddamned hilarious it carries the game.

I love Outer Wilds. I disagree that there isn't much gameplay to it. Mastering the systems and forming specific goals and building your understanding of how the galaxy works and the timeloop are very satisfying, and when everything starts coming together is very fun. I thought the presentation was great, the planet gimmicks were great and the exploration was some of the best in video games. It can also get very tense when you're trying to do something in a time limit and the world is changing around you, but then you come back and do it more efficiently and succeed in what you were trying to do. When it all comes together and you have a specific plan in mind to actually finish it, and you pull it off with precision and efficiency, its incredibly satisfying. Awesome game.

Unless you are weirdly super into nu-fallout games the outer worlds has literally nothing to offer. (fps-rpg is a terrible genre though so outer worlds is de facto a bad game anyways)

Its fine for Outer Worlds to be a fallout ripoff, its not fine for it to be really bad and boring. Its like the bare minimum for that kind of game, and lots of the dialogue is either boring or annoying.

On thread topic, I played Disco Elysium recently and found it a little underwhelming, as someone who's never had any drug/drink related issues a lot of the games themes fell flat as a pancake for me, but that is a very "me" issue.

I have despised Diablo 3 since the day it came out because of what Blizz did to the franchise, but now that I'm playing it on switch with my lady who played her first diablo game in 2021 I totally understand why they did everything they did, and it's becoming a real pleasure. Not even a guilty one.
