The anti frag arm protection always trips me out. It makes sense in an up armored Humvee turret and pretty much nowhere else. I can't imagine wearing it just walking around.

Ya its guard so I guess they should have that gear, but those sleeves and shoulder pads really restrict movement and are just tiring to deal with all day. There's not much benefit unless you're hanging halfway out of a vehicle that's got a good chance of getting blown up. It just seems ridiculous for policing in a country with 0 IED threat. I dunno maybe they're better now, but no one wore that kind of poo poo dismounted when I was in
