Didn't click^ However before you guys waste time just absolutely piling on this guy.. Unfortunately I think it's highly likely that this did happen from some human gently caress up somewhere, probably in China but maybe here. If not from research that is very ill-advised then from the horrific animal slaughter practices we do.

Spinz posted:Didn't click^ Cannot confirm anything, the information, if it exists recorded somewhere, will be buried. But the barest minimum I think everyone should accept is it went global before being detected. It's frankly irrational to believe we would've caught it, infinitely more likely to have spread long before a big outbreak to pin it down, given global transit these days Trump definitely hosed up, but there was no scenario where it didn't get in. It was already in. It was already everywhere

My Pfizer jabs were weird. I'm starting to think I've got a trick left arm or something. The first one when I was doing the 15 minute sit I started to get really light-headed. I have panic attack issues, and walking around a bit usually helps. I'm also a big dumb idiot, so I went to stand up and sortof half-fainted and wobbled back into my chair. The jab nurse gave me a juice and basically (nicely) told me to stop being loving dumb. I was in a big rush to make the appointment after work rescheduled some stuff, so I hadn't eaten much. Figured that was the problem, and made sure I had eaten normally when I went to get my second. I had my second in the same (left) arm, went to sit in the chair for the wait. I was feeling pretty normal, but 5 minutes in or so hey I'm starting to feel faint and woozy again. I kept my rear end parked in the chair and closed my eyes. It passed in a few minutes and I was all good. I've had flu shots before, and I'm pretty sure each one I've gotten was right arm. But the one time I had a blood draw they used my left and I full on passed out a couple minutes after. Starting to think no more poking things in my left arm, it's really weird.

I'm not a doctor, but the symptoms and timeline are suggestive that the lightheadedness and/or fainting is probably induced by a drop in blood pressure because you are worked up and anxious (consciously or not) so your blood pressure goes up, and when you relax afterwards, the sudden drop in pressure causes lightheadedness. I'd suggest that the 'left arm' hypothesis is probably just a red herring.

Just one of those coincidence timelines to drive you crazy. But if I were trying to control the spin, I would put out the Chinese lab theory asap to just tar the whole possibility as conspiratorial thinking. This virus spreads extremely rapidly. If it was already killing people in the US in 2019 then we would have overwhelmed hospitals within a few months after the e-cig deaths.

Also 2 nursing homes having a bunch of people die from a viral pneumonia isn’t that weird. Especially since a lot of the staff has multiple jobs and things jump facilities from that.

Revisiting my grey market vaccine story from a while back... It turns out my friend wasn't being clear when he offered "gulf state adjacent" vaccines to be flown over. It was a voucher, to be redeemed at the local consulate/embassy. I was imagining vials in a diplomatic pouch. His family showed up this weekend (from various countries), and all got their shots at the embassy. This is in the US, but apparently they could choose from the whole world's menu- Sinovac, Sputnik, Covaxin, Pfizer, J&J, Moderna, etc. I'm all set through my county's services, so I obviously didn't participate, but I wanted to close out the story anyway.

Got my first shot of Moderna through UC Davis in Sacramento. They had a pretty good setup and was in and out pretty quick. They even had little golf cars picking people up in the parking lot. Got the shot Sunday and today my arm is pretty sore, no other symptoms.

China was allowing some visa classes in if you've had Sinovac specifically. I guess if you *really* want to get into China you'd do that one. Not sure how well it combines with ones that actually work.

I'm in Toronto and just before this poo poo got started my idiot province elected some idiot grifters so our response has been terrible and they legit did nothing to prepare for the vaccine rollout (just punted it to the municipalities a few weeks ago because The Town of Stouffville pop.: A bunch of deer is equipped to track and administer all this level of poo poo. I can't work from home and live in pretty much the hottest covid spot in the country. A popup clinic down the street announced that they were doing anyone over 18 in a hot spot area. Got down there immediately thanks to crowd sourcing and got my first Pfizer shot! They closed it down like 15 minutes after we got ours. Anyway, Conservatives suck at everything, people are cool, and despite how stupid the circumstances are I got a shot and can't be happier. Took my shirt off for the shot and danced a little jig with a security guard on my way out. Good feelings. Stay safe and be kind, your turn will come sooooooon!

Would like to go to my dads after because the site is halfway to his house. Can I hang out there for a few hours (in mask still) and come home. I had NO reaction to the first one. Just wondering if you can drive with the effects that likely won't happen according to probability. Could always stay there longer if needed to recover... I'm +9 hours since my shot and I've had a just a little bit of tiredness and my arm got slightly sore about 30 minutes ago. I felt a little warm earlier but it went away and didn't come back until the last few minutes. A cakewalk so far compared to my first shot which caused my arm to swell and hurt within 15 minutes and made me exhausted for a day. I have been doing stretches pretty much constantly since getting the shot though because I don't want my arm to be completely useless for a day like it was last time. We'll see if I get any more side effects or if this is it.
