I got them in the blue & orange color that's in the picture. I ordered true to size and they fit great and they're extremely comfortable but I've only just walked around the house in them. They came with a pair of socks and some extra laces too. The build quality seems solid so hopefully they hold up.

If they are comfy great, but I’ve recently purchased 3-4 name brand sneakers online from deal site links for $25 or less with free US shipping (diadora, Reebok, some crocs loafers)

Just got a makita knock off drill from Ali will test it today

I get that but half the fun for me when I order something off Ali is having it show up randomly and if it's gonna be worth a poo poo or not. These actually ended up costing $30 which is about the upper limit of how much I'd gamble on something off Ali but I just really liked how they looked.

I have order apparels on aliexpress, mainly because I can't find those weird poo poo anywhere else. For example I have ordered 2 vests which satisfy the follow check list: 1 down or synthetic down inner layer 2, outer layer made with reflective fabric 3, has a hoodie. As you can see these are some very niche stuff I set out to order.

However, even after following the size chart on the sales pages, the vests are still one size smaller. So my advise is to follow the size chart, but add 1 size up for clothing.

Are the instructions that come with the fake Lego sets on Ali anywhere near as good as official ones? I’m thinking of knockoffs of official sets.

My kid saw a video on YouTube of someone building the Simpsons house and fell in love with it but I’m not paying eBay prices for that ($500+) but I saw one (let’s call it a very faithful homage, so faithful that they used official photos of the real set) on Ali for $80. Our usual method of building is that I rummage through the pile and find the pieces and she follows the instructions to put them together (she’s 5). If the instructions aren’t decent she’s not gonna have a good time.

Here's a follow up on this. I ordered this Simpsons house Lego knockoff on January 19th and it arrived yesterday (April 21st) which is by far my longest (and most expensive) purchase experience from Ali Express and... It didn't come with instructions. And the pieces came in like 30 different bags directly in the shipping box, not a branded "Lepin" box or anything like that, and they weren't packed in the same bag arrangement as the official set's 7 bags. We ended up just dumping them all and then sorting by color. It is a 100% knockoff of the official Lego set, so the downloadable instructions available from lego.com work fine, but man they are super low resolution. It can be hard to see what the pieces are. Here's an example:

Overall, I paid 5 times less than I would buying the legit set on eBay so I'm pretty happy with it, just unfortunate about the shipping time and the lack of included instructions.

The Lego mobile app has awesome instructions, and render them in 3d. Not all sets are on there and only things new enough, otherwise it gives you the PDF.

People have also had luck contacting the seller for a link to a scan of the booklet.

Edit: looked it up and the app has the same potato quality pdf you found

The "feels like stepping in poo poo" sandals are nowhere near as squishy as that appealing ad copy would have you believe. They're made of a dense foam, firm and supportive. They're perfectly comfortable, but not like those super-squishy toys that are (were?) all the rage, the ones you could squoosh into oblivion before they slowly regained their shape.

I think I would have enjoyed POOP FEEL sandals for the sheer novelty of it, but I'm sure this firmer foam is much better to walk on.

This is definitely normal for sets that are old enough to not have the newer high res instructions on legos site. I always just Google the instructions and check around to be sure, but 90% of the time everyone is just using the same scans, either as a pdf or jpegs made from that same pdf. Worth searching though.

I usually don't find the pricing on sites like yourwobb.com to be much more than ali, so being able to see what brick manufacturer they're from and much more reliable shipping is always worth it for me.

Mopsy, I'm starting to question your medical credentials.

Dresses are an absolute crapshoot on sizes, even following the size charts can't save you. Your best bet is to err on the side of too big and have enough sewing knowledge to fit it a bit better. The biggest problem is dresses where the waist is too big, and ends up riding up to mid-titty. I've bought at least four dresses where I needed to add tighter elastic to the waist to prevent this. And then there was this:

I can fit most things as long as the bust will manage 48". The size chart when I bought this said I should get 4x. When it showed up, it was sized for a wacky waving inflatable tube woman 58" in diameter with massive honkers in her armpits. I managed to resize it well enough to wear, and as long as I wear a belt my waist doesn't disappear, but I should probably modify it some more so the straps stop falling off my shoulders.

Since it was $21 total and looks cool I'm still not mad at it.

Huh, I bought one off Amazon and it's too big for me, a 6' person.

Instructions were clear and it even came with a few extra pieces. The fit isn't as good as LEGO but it's fine enough for the 6 bucks I paid for it.
