That podcast had that really annoying stereo thing where one person talking was more on the left channel, while the other was more on the right. What podcaster first came up with that dumb idea and why did others copy it?

the pro move would be to put both podcast dudes on auto panner plugins, both slowly panning left to right and back, out of sync with each other, and at different cycle rates. like 12 seconds for one guy and 32 for the other. oh my god you'd get so angry at that podcast lol. like trying to listen to two dudes pacing a room and arguing with each other
