HOW LOW CAN YOU GO?

The White House Resident Gives A Low Bar Speech to an Empty Congress

Joe Biden made a speech to a joint session of Congress yesterday. In his speech he said “Look!” a lot. I’m looking Joe, and I don’t like what you’re describing.

For example, you want to create blue collar jobs by means of the New Green Deal, but you are destroying oil jobs to create those green jobs. Perhaps you’re more interested in creating a lot of Solyndra-like graft to benefit your cronies.

You talked about gun violence and compared it to an ‘epidemic.’ Your regime will apparently use medical tyranny as a pretense to grab our guns. Thanks for the heads up, but I will not take your vaccines, nor will I give up my firearms. Have you heard of ’Shall not be infringed?”

OH—but I almost forgot. You said you DO believe in infringing because nothing about our Constitution is ‘absolute.’ At least, according to you. So you can change everything as you see fit as well as pack the Supreme Court with Marxists and allowing the District of Columbia to become a state. You even uttered this cringeworthy statement:

Our Constitution opens with the words, “We the People”. It’s time we remembered that We the People ARE the government.

This is what you and your Socialist Democrat Party are about. You want more power and control over the people on a granular level. You The Government will tell Us The Slaves how things will be.

As for the scamdemic itself, you continue to push the need for dangerous and experimental vaccines as a solution for a virus with a 99.7 percent survivability rate. The fact that everyone attending wore masks when they had already been vaccinated only shows the uselessness of your precious jabs. It’s really about fear and control and you need to keep the slave mask-wearing people in a panic in order to shove more tyranny down their throats.

You again talked about raising the minimum wage to $15 per hour. We used to have a free market, but now a big socialist government is going to determine how much pay a worker receives. The minimum wage was never meant to be a living wage, but rather an entryway into the work force. Burger flipping jobs held by teenagers. Now they’ll most likely lose their jobs thanks to your tyranny disguised as government generosity.

You said you’re going to raise taxes on corporations. You claim they need to ‘pay their fair share.’

Marxists love class warfare because they alway make sure “they” come out on top.

What the corporations will do is pass the higher cost of doing business onto consumers. The little guy will pay for Joe’s taxes through higher consumer prices.

You’re calling the climate change malarky a ‘climate crisis’ now. This is how you will further destroy American jobs and usher in global socialism and control. Not buying it, Joe. If you care so much about the Earth, why didn’t you mention Fukushima? That’s the real crisis. Oh—almost forgot. No money to be made by the ruling elite who use you as a puppet. So let’s ignore lethal radiation getting dumped into the Pacific Ocean. You have those UN Agendas to fulfill instead.

You said you have the backs of transgender people. Let’s talk about their fronts for a second. You claim to follow science, but a man simply can’t become a woman and vice versa. Sure, you can go along and help promote the delusion that it’s possible, but reality still says otherwise. It’s not science. Mutilation does not make a man into a woman—it only damages them. Trans people suffer from one of the highest rates of suicide in the nation. Oh, but let’s bring them into the military to virtue signal to the world how “woke” we are. This won’t end well.

C’mon man! Look. Your operatives stole the election for you.

You then said you would unite us, but all you’ve done is divide the country further. The event involving the flag waving Trump supporters who marched on the capitol dome was not the worst insurrection since the Civil War. That’s divisive hyperbole!

You encourage a race war.

You are putting Trump supporters on no fly lists.

You are trampling the Constitution.

You are an imposter who is scrambling to aggrandize power for your Marxist Democrats as quickly as you can.

You are corrupt to the marrow.

You are a pedophile and sexual predator.

You gave a speech to a half-full Congress, but that’s appropriate because you’re not dealing with a full deck.

A couple weeks ago Japan announced plans to start releasing tritium-contaminated water from Fukushima into the ocean.

The real story: they're going to re-purify the water, dilute it to 1/40 the amount of tritium allowed in drinking water, and, starting in a few years, release the contaminated water over a span of up to 40 years.

What conservatives heard: THEY'RE GONNA TURN THE OCEAN RADIOACTIVE :supaburn:

Also, Ben almost certainly still believes that a radioactive cloud is headed our way from Fukushima. Aaaaaany day now.

Yes, that's literally how the Constitution was created to be! It was specifically created to be able to be changed, since the founders knew that they weren't perfect beings who could create an eternal document that would be applicable for all the possibilities of society! That's why there's amendments, to change the Constitution!

My understanding of their logic is "being transgender is a mental illness that causes people who suffer from it to commit suicide at high rates; therefore we should treat these trans people and make them cis again so they no longer have the mental illness and don't want to kill themselves anymore". It's ignorance and transmisia dressed up in crocodile tears.

It isn't. That's just the lie that they'll say to the regular people under the hopes that their bigotry will be disguised, and so they won't come to the proper conclusion. Yes, even your sweet ma' from church is lying with this pretense. They know the truth about it being because of societal bullying, they just believe in the justness of bullying.

You think reality is a circle of salt around my brain keeping witches out?
Yeah, Conservatives bringing up suicide rates of LGBT people is like when they bring up how many murders there were in Chicago over the weekend. They don't do it because they actually see it as a problem that they want to see fixed, they bring it up because they see it as moral justification for the way they treat other groups of people.

Hell, I remember back even in the early 10's, "pro-family" conservatives weren't exactly shy about their intentions. Nowadays they've softened it down to this dog-whistle bullshit, so if you call them out on it they can pivot to "No, you see, we don't hate them, we love them, we want what's best for them!"

Garrison doesn't want to help trans people, but he's using language that pretends like he does. He calls it a "delusion" and says that "mutilation damages people" and then mentions the suicide rate. It's clear what he's doing, he's heavily implying that "mutilation" (despite the fact not every trans person gets surgery) damages trans people mentally as well as physically and that's why they're committing suicide. To someone who's ignorant about the situation, it makes it sound like trans people go "Oh no I have committed a horrible mistake and destroyed my body" once they transition and then commit suicide out of regret.

I think it was Glenn Beck a few years back I heard saying that even trans people who lived as the gender they identify as have similar suicide rates to those who don't. I don't know if the study is bullshit or not but I would imagine even if that's true (a big if), it's because they have family members or other people in their lives who won't support them, or even outright attack them, as well as poo poo like maybe getting harassed by people because they "don't look feminine/masculine enough." So again, even if that claim was true, the lesson isn't "don't attempt to transition," it's "people should stop being assholes and accept trans people."

But again, Garrison and people like him want to put up the pretense of "Oh we're just trying to help them!" when in reality they don't give a poo poo, they're just using a convenient argument to try and persuade others to be anti-trans.

I mean, the formulation "I'm doing this horrible thing to group x because I love group x" has been stock for conservatives since forever. Aside from the fact it implicitly cast themselves as parents scolding children, it's let them be as lovely and abusive as they want while telling themselves they're the good guys.

See any Adam4D comic where his mouthpiece character always uses the phrase, "I have a lot of gay friends and love gay people" before talking about all the ways they should be systematically persecuted and excluded from society.

I think the sticking point for me is the nature of the claim. It's like the politoons that, if you don't already know the artist's leanings, come across as the exact opposite of the intended point. It's just incomprehensible to me that "suicide rates are higher among queer folks," isn't universally processed as "this is caused by individual and systemic bigotry." "Queerness itself causes suicides," seems like a total non sequitur, but it's taken as a given. Does this come from a "queerness is mental illness, mental illness causes suicide" thought process?

That's not even getting into how that's supposed to mesh with the exact same fuckers going "trans women are just straight men actively trying to gain access to women's spaces," but that's pretty basic :umberto: poo poo.

Anyway, thanks for humoring me. It just feels like a self-defeating form of concern trolling outside the intended audience.

I see what you mean, but for one thing Garrison really is preaching to the choir. For another, the argument "save kids from turning trans!!" substitutes moral outrage for logical coherence. You'll notice Garrison has no trouble interpreting any evidence as support for his worldview. This has been called a self-sealing worldview:

Linda Riebel posted:

Self-sealing doctrines can be found in other places too—some of them uncomfortably close to home. Psychoanalysis made some valuable contributions to understanding the human psyche, but its founder was convinced that his theories were universally true, and any challenge was simply further proof of them.

One commentator wrote, “Once Sigmund Freud was convinced of the universality of the Oedipus complex, he looked for it in every patient, whether they admitted it or not … Anyone who failed to agree with Freud’s interpretation of these cases either lacked the special expertise of the initiated or else was repressing the obvious because of personal unresolved complexes.”

Here Freud says the other person is “part of the problem” and therefore not qualified to criticize. A literal example of this comes from one of his published lectures about sex: “Nor will you have escaped worrying over this problem, those of you who are men. To those of you who are women this does not apply—you are yourselves the problem.”

Thus he disqualifies in advance the opinions of those he is discussing; whatever they may say in refutation of his ideas will not be admitted because “you are yourselves the problem.”

Continuing to protect his theory, Freud went on: “For the ladies, whenever some comparison seemed to turn out unfavorable to their sex, were able to utter a suspicion that we, male analysts, had been unable to overcome certain deeply‑rooted prejudices against what was feminine, and that this was being paid for in the partiality of our researches. We, on the other hand, standing on the ground of bisexuality, had no difficulty in avoiding impoliteness. We had only to say, ‘This doesn't apply to you. You're the exception. On this point you are more male than female.’”

This argument is armed against refutation. If females dispute his point, they are either “part of the problem” (what problem?). And if they don’t, they again prove his point because they are exceptions to the theory. They are not simply exceptions but "more male than female." So the admirable qualities are still ascribed to masculinity. Freud also introduced the social convention “politeness" into what purports to be a scientific discussion.
