Communist Thoughts posted:But do you think the centrist vote is smaller than the left vote? yeah, demonstrably. Only deeply weird people think of "centrist" politics as anything but a slur to avoid. It's an incredibly stupid and longstanding confusion of the idea that your average voter doesn't have an easily identifiable political slant - centrists think this means don't take any firm position, but the reality is the average voter wants workplace communism but not for foreigns unless they're the good ones and the bad ones need to be hung with all the sex criminals by lazy teenagers doing mandatory community service. The average voter wants completely contradictory extremes and works from there based on intuition. The centrist wants no extremes, so as not to contradict any of these views. This is why centrism lost 4m votes after Blair 97 and has never shown any signs of regaining them, just losing people over and over. Centrism is a deeply stupid ideology that has a track record of pissing everyone off and destabilising every country it infects, before inevitably being ousted by the first party allowed to voice popular convictions, which is weirdly never the workplace communism lot. V. Illych L. posted:"the centre ground" shifts about. it's different places. "Centrism" is not an ideology about adopting the centre ground of the overton window. It is completely unrelated to this. It's about saying "change nothing, but maybe better" and never understanding why this is uninspiring. So Blair 97 is a win for Thatcherism, for Neoliberalism, for a lot of things. But he actually said and did things that went against the grain, and was one of the few people to know how to weaponise focus groups and not just blindly nod along to them. Blair 01 and the LP onwards are about "Please never offend anyone, we built a school and war is complicated" Spangly A has issued a correction as of 17:20 on Apr 30, 2021 |

Just goes to show you how thoroughly anti-semitism suffused British culture but at least labour won't have to worry about that ever again

Guardian 'journalist' : "Ah yes but, if you add together the numbers for Labour, Lib Dems and Greens, the Tories are outnumbered! This is a moral victory and surely indicates that now is the time for a Progressive Alliance, where these 3 parties (who on the face of it admittedly have little in common) must come together and stand for the Sensible Majority, a prospect that all 3 party's voters will surely relish!"

This was Corbyn's long term master plan to tackle antisemitism in Labour. There won't be any antisemitism issues left after the Labout party goes bankrupt and dissolves, so he can then make his own Corbyn party, with blackjack and no antisemites

Get an actual labour party off the ground instead of this beast which exists to get middle class people a cushy job in Westminster followed by a career as a lobbyist. There's already plenty parties for that purpose. Anyway, please enjoy these photos of Alex Salmond of the Alba Party lurking sinisterly behind his female candidates, an interesting stylistic choice considering the charges he faced in the past https://twitter.com/PerthshireMags/status/1388247279430144004?s=20 forkboy84 has issued a correction as of 11:04 on May 1, 2021 |
