I was thinking of something closer to something like vodka redbull mixed drinks here that involve just tossing a whole-rear end can of energy drink into a bunch of liquor and blacking out. That being said, I am going to try standard flavor Monster and gin, now, because I'm extremely curious--I don't expect it to be great.

I can't tell if putting 'porn for ladies' ads on these last two episodes is extremely inappropriate or actually appropriate as hell. The funniest part is that I was actually already familiar with the site (unless you heard a different ethical porn streaming subscription ad). Very high production values, but runs into the problem I see a lot, which is assuming that women who are interested in paying for ethical porn aren't also into the nasty poo poo that's extra-hard to find ethically. Alas, my demographic must continue to settle for not letting anyone look at our ebook library. Getting an ad for the porn site run by the sex toy store I shop at on one of my favorite podcasts did make me feel very Seen, however.

I don't have a parasocial relationship with Robert Evans. I don't know him and never met him. He's not my friend. I don't get a say in how he makes his money or what he does with his time. I listen to his podcast, and from that podcast I've found him to be insightful and reasonable. If I thought he was doing problematic poo poo I'd push back or stop listening or find something better to do with my time. all that said I think there's at least a little difference between being paid x large amount by the company you are employed by (iheart) and receiving c large amount via crowdfunding. I don't know that one's better or worse than another but they certainly feel different to me. I'm personally somewhat more ok with squeezing a large company for what it's worth than a herd of people, most of whom probably aren't rolling in cash.
