What exactly is the difference between ‘work’ and ‘jobs’ in that slogan’s logic?

Work is conditions while working, jobs is number of jobs. That's an okay separation, it's just led by ghoulish morons.

People also voted against Blair and the Iraq war in the locals, all votes, including deciding not to vote, are symbolic and not necessarily logically connected to their actual ends. The point is to have enough illogical justifiers to overwhelm your opponents ones and have enough policy to change society in your favour when you have the power to do so.

What a loving weekend lol

What does that even mean? There are ways govts can create jobs, like infrastructure spending or nationalised industries, but if that was the focus the tag would be 'infrastructure' or 'nationalisation'.

Just having the focus as the abstract concept of 'jobs' seems completely empty. Nobody is going to the polls to vote for an arcane set of tax incentives that will maybe incline some employers to hire more staff under very specific conditions.

It means absolutely nothing because, as you've put, it's entirely just an empty abstract concept that they're hoping people will project whatever they think it means on to it.

They don't have anything but empty slogans at this point, because they don't have any other policies outside of "Follow the Tories" and "Reject Corbynism", which, as it turns out, isn't a great political strategy.

Reshuffle outcome less funny than hoped, but impressive that his response to catastrophic electoral loss has been to swap three people's jobs around and make up a new shadow cabinet post for a friend.

Reeves is a particular shitstain, but it's pointless even thinking in terms of who's left or right in his cabinet any more. If they're willing to be in his cabinet, they ain't on the left or helping the left.
