There has to be a breaking point or a status shift at some point. Gaza is one of the most densely populated areas on earth and you can't just disappear a million people. Syria has been destabilizing the whole region for a decade and this would be a disaster magnitudes worse. I doubt a positive outcome is possible but I don't think any senario ends with the death of all Palestinians

More important issue is pushing the remaining arabs in israel into those existing camps or just generally elsewhere.

Gaza is literally warehousing for the palestinians who were ethnically cleansed from Israel and the west bank. Before the nakba, it was not the third most densely populated polity on the planet like it is now. And like any concentration camp, it is deliberately left in a condition that will slowly kill the inhabitants The major bombing campaigns are just a way to make sure it never develops enough infrastructure to support a life of dignity free of malnutrition, poison water, deep psychological trauma and PTSD for the captive population. You know, like a nazi ghetto but on a gigantic scale Israel would kill every inhabitant of gaza all at once if they thought they could get away with it, and it's seeming more and more like they think that is the case

I can't imagine Fatah actually coming out to fight but maybe Palestinians getting run out of town and lynched throughout Israel was actually a bridge too far and they decided to go for it? Suggests a certain commitment to their ideals that I didn't think they possessed anymore.
