Speaking of clickbaits, the first worktop microwave oven was created in the UK to humanely reanimate hamsters as part of a Lazarus project that set off the 60s obsession with cryogenics.

I thought this poll was interesting and seems to have flown under the radar a bit. Seems like most people are trying to save rather than spend, as they have realised how precarious their situations actually are based off what happened last year. Not good news for an economic recovery!

Yeah bringing Smashmouth back into public consciousness was the one positive to come from that series.

Pretty easy to commit to transparency when you have no policies or ideas. Just empty suits walking around with empty binders full of their best thoughts.

Anyone working vacine centers or 119 that could give any assistance or advice would be greatly appreciated. My partner had a reaction to AZ so they refused the 2nd shot. Went to go and sorted the stuff with the allergy specialist so has a letter and filled out flowchart saying she needs Pfizer.
And is now in a situation of being brickwalled by 119 saying they will only book her AZ and giving her an appointment at boots who only has AZ the NHS online booking site does not have the local big center listed where they can do Pfizer. And her gp claims there is not a way for them to get her an appointment booked. Thanks.

I've been peeling off remains of address labels from a prototype box the work sent to me (and couple people before that).

Wireless headphones are very helpful.

I got it all off, even.

e: The box is not the prototype, the prototype comes inside the box, but the box is a part of it too, sort of. Most definitely can't chuck it out and that's not actually a joke, I'd be given some very stern talking-tos at least.

I miss cinema audiences. There are some film moments that are just so much better when you're in a room full of people reacting with you. The noise the cinema made when we saw Bart Simpson's penis has stuck with me so much more than anything in the actual movie. Or the confused laughter when Howard the Duck appears in Gardians of the Galaxy.

Or take the Mortal Kombat trailer - it looks like a normal action-thrilled and then BAM Sub-Zero ices a dude! You completely lose the fun of the reveal because 30 seconds earlier I clicked a youtube link saying "Mortal Kombat Trailer" which rather ruined the surprise.

Fffffuck I'd forgot about that. What an awful movie.

E: on the trailer surprise point though, I will pretty much completely avoid any trailer for a movie I'm looking forward to. Less about being spoiled on specific plot points (which happens all the time), but trailers will usually use some of the most beautiful/dramatic shots in the movie, and I'd rather just experience that for the first time in the context of the whole movie, rather than have a voice in my head going "oh yeah this is cool, just like in the trailer".

Basically I wanna get to see DUNC in the cinema without previewing any giant sandworms

What exactly was incoherent or unfinished about New Groove? I know it started out as a completely different movie and Sting's still mad about that but like it's not exactly hard to follow lol.

Shrek is just a popular thing that people hate, because it was supposed to be subversive but reached mainstream appeal. It's honestly still a very well put together piece of entertainment and satire of Disney culture if you don't sit there rolling your eyes every time you hear one of the lines that got turned into a meme.

What you hate is not Shrek, what you hate is the people who repeat bits of Shrek.
