Queenslanders, you can register for teh covid vaccine even without being in one of the elegible categories (apologies for reddit link). I registered at 4:30pm, got an invitation to book at 6pm, and have now booked for this coming Wednesday. I am not sure which vaccine I'll get but I picked the PA hospital because it's the most convenient for me and they are doing under-50s only so I expect it'll be Pfizer. I would thoroughly encourage anyone to sign up, as the vaccines are better in our arms than in the bin when they expire.

I'm glad to see the states doing this. It makes must more sense than sticking to the rollout schedule at this point. It's a pity they can't take over aged care and disability care vaccinations, too.

For the Brisbanites the only hospital doing Pfizer is the Surgical Treatment and Rehabilitation Service in Herston. I had me second jab yesterday (I live with a health care worker) and it's knocking me about today. Vaxex and waxed baybee.

There's about 5 out of 120 people at her job that have gotten even one dose. They're all eligible

That doesn't align with reports in that Reddit thread, nor does it align with the fact taht PA administered Pfizer to their hospital staff (mum, who works at Logan, got AZ as a result because the only Metro South hospital that did Pfizer was PA), nor does it align with the fact that the PA is advertised as 'under 50s only' when booking a vaccination. In any case, I've booked at the PA and will know by Wednesday.

It may have broadened then, when I applied for mine STARS was the only one listed as Pfizer and they sent my wife there to get hers because it was pfizer. Anyway, any vaccine is a good vaccine.

Found it, they've changed the info page from the actual vaccine name to the general All ages and over 50 only. Shout out to the wayback machine.

That would imply that they've expanded the Pfizer availability since <50s are not getting AZ except via exception? In any case, that's only Metro North and not Metro South.

Broadly, Astro zenica is the one for Olds and Pfizer for under 50s due to the clotting thing right? Asking in case they start making stuff available to whoever in SA.

get vaxxed goons ugh i hate that we have it available locally but idiots are declining to take it in the hundreds of thousands because politics. we're pumping canada right now but i think Biden is about to give out more doses.,.. i hope you guys get the bioNtech. Thanks for keeping me engaged after everyone else here is asleep. love you guys be safe. bioNTech=Pfizer and Pfizer = bioNtech if anyone was wondering.... bioNtech actually created it through science... pfizer just helped them create many many more doses because of course they create a shitload of medicine and have the ability to ramp up

Unfortunately our gov went all in on AZ I clouding signing deals to mass produce it locally and the blood clot thing has thrown a spanner in the works for roll-out. Hopefully we still mass produce AZ and ship it to every Pacific neighbour.

The point is to create a situation where the wave pumping you do in surfing to achieve speed and the movements for large turns can also be done on this skateboard: https://smoothstar.com.au/surf-training-2/how-smoothstar-works/ Closest thing you can get to surf practice on land. I know precisely gently caress and all about snowboarding (and frankly, about as little as traditional skateboarding) so I can't really give you any advice there.
