I recently bought the Dark Souls Trilogy Compendium and reading through the Drangleic section really makes me want to replay DS2. I haven't played it since Scholar of the First Sin came out.

I started Immortals Feenix whatever today because I've had it hanging around for a while and lol, it's not bad but it's the ur Ubisoft game with a couple of bits it 'borrowed' from BotW and amusingly also Genshin. I think the combat is almost exactly the same as the last three AssCreed games except that it bizarrely wants you to press two buttons at the same time to parry.

Parry windows are generous at least. I’m surprised ubi hasn’t put parry timing into a progression scheme yet. Level up to increase your window by 0.3s or just buy 100 ParryCoins for $4.99

When the game first tells you that it's a two-button parry I was ready to hate it with a passion but the timing is generous enough that I didn't have an issue with it

I remember this was a problem for Nintendo with the Wii U because the normal price for a new console in the West was making them considerably less yen than in the past. It’s also funky because a lot of the time a Hong Kong version of the same game will be considerably cheaper and still be playable in Japanese. Japanese games not getting English localized is considerably rarer than in the past too.

I got the Castlevania collection because it was $4 even though I never really played it and I'm kind of loving this NES era whip action. Have any 3D games really successfully utilized a whip? And don't say Bloodborne because the threaded cane's whip mode loving sucks!

I wish I could, but remote play is dreadful if your console isn’t connected to the router by an Ethernet cable, and our router is in the kitchen. Even Final Fantasy X was a struggle because when you’re navigating menus you have to make sure it’s caught up so you’re selecting what you think you are. occasionally it will start spinning out of control because it thinks you held a direction down.
