I must say as someone who was in the turmp lol threads for the last five years, I am really not surprised how off the deep end they have gone. I peaced out when Don got banned from Twitter and man it is night and day how I feel about the world since cutting that cord. The pervasive doomer mindset really sucks your will to live. I was putting up with severe anhedonia, and wasn’t myself. I will say there were plenty of great posters in those threads watching out for each other and advocating therapy and regular breaks from the thread. But I’m not surprised plenty of them have instead gone further off the deep end. Also on the positive side the threads introduced me to A Fancy Hat and his amazing comedic talents.

the neopet victory lap was some weird poo poo where arf, pick, and some other people tried to talk about neopets lore in this thread and some people just absolutely blew their tops at it, because they thought it was some nefarious attempt to derail the discussion for the tenth iteration of fyad-are-unironic-ironic-nazis chat. i think it happened during fyad's venture to the spirit world or during the time people were drawing up suspected fyad sympathizers lists and poo poo like people were looking at the number of posts people had in this thread before they dared to start chatting about neopets to drown out antifascist action discussion, it was unreal to see how utterly consumed people had let themselves become about the various hypothetical trolling methodologies deployed by some third column of fyad alts but yeah show off the neopets black market vid im down for that
