Well, I guess if you just had the DIRECT Lineage, ignoring Uncles and whatnot, , but uhh then the ghost children wouldn't make any sense then either.

I’d like to point out that every time Baituk goes back to the well of “look how progressive I am by showcasing the abuse this made up woman lived through back in the day” Son of stuck Funky points out in detail just how asinine and just generally wrong he is.

https://sonofstuckfunky.com/

Also, as they pointed out the other day: how old is she supposed to be? Because if she was an adult doing anti-Hitler cartoons when that was part of the job (during the war) she’s Capital O Old!

No. gently caress you.

You spent literally weeks chasing after Harry, Dick, fully convinced he was a murderer just because he was an ex-con who happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. You ignored everyone telling you he was innocent. Only when faced with the undeniable truth did you give up your chase. And now you get a rich old guy to give money to a widow and place a memorial marker and suddenly everything's fine.

Well it's not fine. gently caress you, copper. ACAB.

If it were further down the timeline, I'd be feeling a "Canada uses the Metric System" resolution coming, but quick google research pins the beginning of the switchover at 1970, and the comics are probably mining the older books

I mostly post Locher Tracy because its insane plotlines and Locher art hold a special place in my heart, but it is really good in inadvertently showing how terrible cops are.

I have a soft spot for modern Duck Tracy just because it’s so spectacularly stupid at times, but never more stupid when the robbers of a comic con suddenly went and desecrated a Jewish cemetery for no goddamn reason. It’s such a wonder window into the writers’ understanding of criminals.

I find it funny how Baituk never seem to invite women in the comics industry to do guest work for him.

Unfortunately modern Tracy has the problem where those storylines tend to be few and far between because the writers are much more focused on showing you how many references they can make. It got so bad it made me stop posting it because I just couldn't care.
