also I’d say the warriors did well in spite of Steph. hard to see him as a huge net positive unless he is surrounded by superstars

the warriors offense was bad with him. they could replace him with a two way player and compete for the 8th seed next year I think

although isn’t klay supposed to come back ?

he has slightly better defense than Steph but Steph ended up having a better year mostly due to draymond carrying him

if you traded Steph for lavine I bet your the warriors make the playoffs tho

if you wanna talk wins and only wins, the warriors went from a 57-25 season (3rd in the league, 1st in the west) with thompson, durant, iguodala, and curry to a 15-50 season (worst in the league) with none of them and then to a 39-33 season and what would normally be a playoff spot with only curry back and the rest of the team just as bad as they were in the 15-50 year, so i guess leaving aside the stats that you love to hate that means curry was worth 24 wins on his own

the difference was mostly draymond and Wiggins trying on defense this year for whatever reason . oubre was also a nice additions

the warriors won on defense which has nothing to do with Steph

their defense was better, but not good enough to be the chief reason for them making the play in

you are so addicted to the stats simulacrum that your think Curry had a good offensive year (I’m glad no one ever argues he’s good at defense )

he wasn’t good on offense

:o:
dunks should be worth 3 because theyre cool and decrease from there. halfcourt prayer shots should be worth -1 as they are a sign of poor sportsmansbip by a losing team.

their offense stunk (Steph again) so I’d say yes they won with defense

who won the assist title ? who won the number of mid range step backs title ? who won the flagrant foul title ?

I think you are confused

two season ago he was terrible. the team was terrible. he decided not play anymore that year for whatever reason . noted Bad GM Bob Myers then put the team in tanking mode because with Steph out , they had a good chance of getting a lot better and close to the play offs (which in theory would
be bad for them since their draft pick would be worse. but since Bad GM bob myers is a colossal idiot , it actually didn’t matter what their draft pick was )

one season ago (the year that just ended) Steph has a bad year but despite his offensive struggles the team is not in tank mode (actually puts some effort into defense) and still don’t make the playoffs

euphronius
Feb 18, 2009

considering the cap space Steph takes up there is an argument he is the Least Valuable Player in the league

he’s closer to that than MVP at least
