I kind of like the idea that 616 Ben has the purple energy form but it's never been activated because Reed keeps trying to turn him human and interrupting the 'hatching' process.

My favourite thing was that the Maker, for all the evil forbidden science he used couldn't come up with a way to depower The Thing to defeat him.

She did but that was mostly during Avengers Undercover so we don�t talk about it.

Edit: the staff works differently now. She can do what she wants, but every time she cast a spell the demon inside gets closer to freedom.
