Remember my earrings and art are much better than my posting

New stuff starts towards end of page 3 of the thread

I'm sorry if this is a stupid question. I looked at all pictures, I found it facinating how lucky he was. Clicking thru to the shot of wildly hammering surgeons is that ACTUALLY part of his surgery or a joke?

Edit, it's in the second comment, probably not. Wonder what the hell that was from

You could always ask for an inspection and acceptance, or an inspection and exchange, shouldn't be too much out of pocket, but acetylene bottles stored relatively properly should be pretty dang safe. If you're concerned, go photo the neck markings on the bottle and do a google search to give you an idea if the bottle is like 50yo or something equally suspect.

Smarter Every Day's whole series on USS Toledo tour is drat good, and something rarely offered to anyone in civilian broadcasting. What might seem like him being condescending is actually 99% of the time him being generally curious about something his viewers would be curious about and asking questions at the level (kids and teens) they would probably ask. You can see in some of the other vids in the series the genuine respect and appreciation he has for the folks that do these jobs.

Probably the way the guy is signaling to the responders to stop the normal yelling the drill uses (and probably the faces he's making at them). I've been on both sides of that specific situation where someone/I was explaining what was going on and needed the normal task callouts to silence for a bit so that the people watching could hear explanations of the various things going on. In that vid I can see how it could be construed as condescension, but to me it just looks like a dude who's trying to do his best to get the narration out clearly and has multiple dudes right next to him yelling the callouts as loudly but clearly as possible lol.

It's the military, so it may as well be all possibilities answers are true.

The swastika here isn’t directly Nazi related.

It was stamped on the cylinder before the Nazis even existed, as a manufacturer’s mark, by the Linde company and others, then sloppily overstamped with a “window pane” some time after the Nazis took power and gave the swastika a bad reputation.

But sure, there are gas bottles that old still in use. They can be used indefinitely if they keep passing inspection.

sigh.

swastikas were related to Hinduism and many other religions as a sign of nature, renewal, and peace.

the fact a bitch that shot himself in the head took it and turned it into a horrible symbol is a shame. people need to do that manipulation scribing you posted because it was always thought as being made by Nazis.

I really think his entire USS Toledo video series probably did more for the USN's submarine program's recruitment than YEARS of Navy advertising spots and recruitment drives among kids that have been growing up for the past 16 years with youtube. With the exception of the back end which is classified AF, he goes through a lot of questions about life on a US Fast Attack sub that many folks on a day tour wouldn't even think of asking.

No no, I don't mean Dustin. I mean the guy who keeps tapping guys to tell them to shut the gently caress up. The guy on camera at the part I time-stamped to. Dustin, the smarter every day host guy is fine, he's cool, he's listening. The CO or whatever first taps a guy to get him to be quiet then kinda keeps telling people to shut the gently caress up in am escalating way. It's super subtle and just something that annoyed me. When the second fire is extinguisher guys come on he kind of acts like they are stupid to be yelling just cuz they are filming - not good OSHA exercise!
