Lt. Ansom Chicago brought his recon 'Mech up to an easy jog as he wound his lance through the maze-like streets of the planetary capitol. They'd seen the enemy DropShips days ago, but no one had expected they'd perform a daring combat drop directly into the CritterTek ball diamond downtown. The billion c-bill stadium was barely two kilometers from the senate forum, where the local planetary government's elected officials gathered to laugh at the poor and downtrodden and convince the wealthy to compete to see who would pay them the most to do nothing at all.

A red streak flashed past Ansom's cockpit, a mere after-image burned temporarily into his retinas. Behind him, Foodwarrior Chrisholm's Foie Gras slipped and fell, its birdlike nose tearing a furrow in the concrete. It lay still for just long enough for Ansom to begin to ask if Chrisholm was alright, then exploded spectacularly, its goose well and truly cooked.

"It's a BeefMaster!" Gruenfeldt shouted.

Ansom felt a cold void of fear where his stomach had been as the attacker emerged from its hiding place near the stadium. The BeefMaster was a Condiment King-class, one of the biggest war machines still in common use. Gruenfeldt turned and ran, leaving the stunned Ansom facing down the BeefMaster alone. Ansom grimaced and charged, trying to buy Gruenfeldt a chance to radio for help. The BeefMaster brought its arms up, the barrels of its weapons oozing red. It was loaded with ketchup.

What sort of monster loaded up a hot dog with ketchup?!

Here at Mantic Games we like to create new and interesting takes on fantasy themes – angry dwarfs riding badgers, eyeless nightmares made manifiest, chimeras with the head a frostfang, etc. – but sometimes we might push it a bit far! Earlier this week, a slightly fuzzy render of the gun worm, one of the two worm-themed fliers for the dwarf fleet in Armada, appeared on social media and the reaction was… ‘mixed’.

The other thing we like to do at Mantic is listen to our community and get their feedback. So, we wanted to get your thoughts on the dwarf gun worm and give you the chance to vote on its future!

First up, here’s some fluff for why the dwarfs have got giant, flying worms. “Captured at a young age and trained to carry both riders and weapons to war, these foul-looking flying mountain worms patrol the seas ahead of the Dwarfen fleet and guard it from enemy attack from the skies.” Secondly, we've got some painted pics and artwork (of the worm and some dwarf artwork from the rulebook) on this post.

1. Looks fine to me. Dwarfs riding angry, flying worms is cool! What's all the fuss about? When can I buy it?

2. I’ll probably get it, so I don’t have to wait for a re-sculpt, but would have preferred something else.

3. Ugh! My eyes! No way I’m getting this. It should have been something else. I’m happy to wait for a re-sculpt and understand this will mean a delay in the dwarfs getting their fliers.

Theres probably nothing stopping people from grabbing the AoS fem heads and plopping them on marines right? Not sure how else you would differentiate people wearing 12ft thick titanium armor.
