I started thinking about my TF on that walk back. Rather than the intense feeling of longing, my vision shifted. It was like, from my right eye I was looking out at my surroundings (the campus, the trees, the path), but from my left eye I was staring out at a beach. I could smell the water and feel the sand under “my” feet. I concentrated on the beach scene. I felt the dude. It was his longing I had been feeling, obviously. As he stood on that beach, he stretched out his arms, looked up at the sky and asked god, universe, source, whatever you want to call it with so much longing and fervor for his TF…me. He stood there for a few minutes. I knew I could have stayed there as long as I wanted, but I pulled out and walked home, shaken to my core.

I still got the intense feeling of longing pretty regularly, but then I started getting snippets of conversations and other feelings in addition to viewing scenes from his end. After the first beach scene, I started to get more scenes from his end. I saw a restaurant I can still remember, at one point there was a girl (who I’m pretty sure was his girlfriend), I saw a group of friends, a walk back home staring up at the starry sky, and a few others. This went on for about two years. The frequency, length and intensity got clearer as time went on. It got so intense and regular I started feeling like I was going crazy. I choked on my food a few times, missed a step going up or down stairs, and stood with my hand on a door handle on a few occasions when these scenes or feelings would come out of nowhere. To say it was awkward in company is putting it mildly. The feelings only got stronger and stronger. It got so bad, I had to close the connection. I know it sounds terrible, but I was going crazy. I couldn’t sleep and whenever I would try I slept fitfully, I stopped hanging out and talking to friends, food lost its taste. I felt like I was in a weird in-between. I felt like clawing my chest, the feeling of longing was so overwhelming.

I prayed, meditated, got energy readings etc. etc. All to figure out what I was supposed to do or where I should go or what I needed to find him. I never got an answer. What I did get in addition to everything else was a heightened sense of “he’s just around the corner. If you would have walked faster you would have seen him. You JUST missed him. Almost. He’s right there. If you reach out you’d touch him. So close!” It was like he was everywhere… but actually nowhere. And that only added to my insanity. All I did was decline steadily. I had to close this connection to salvage some of my sanity. It’s been years and years since this happened and I have come so far in my own spiritual journey. I feel better equipped to understand and navigate this journey or connection. Or maybe find him.

My question is: how do I open this connection again? When I closed it, I did it by myself. I didn’t follow a method or anything really. It was my own patchy job. But it was really effective. I’ve tried for a few years to find it and open it with no luck. Again: prayer, meditation, energy sessions, sound healing, hypno, anything I could think of. But I can’t find it. I know it’s in me somewhere, I just haven’t found it. Any suggestions?
