Moomin winter Honestly, anyone dropping off a kid at the Moomins to be educated deserves getting back a mini-fillyjonk. Lunch TN:1 Like many countries, Norway has a progressive tax system that is willfully misunderstood by anyone who wants to complain about taxes. TN2: Scooter: He uses the term Sparkesykkel (lit: KickBike/KickBicycle) which is basically the un-powered version of the el-scooters that are popping up everywhere. Also I've noticed this a bit, like with american comics: It feels a lot like some of the bigger saturday-editions of Lunch have 2 throwaway-ish panels at the start, so that they can easily be turned into a normal daily strip later.

I'm sure they'll have great stuff from Morrie and the Defender, but Jackie Ormes is listed there - so I'm thinking they'll have some Torchy Brown: drat, I must have just completely skipped over her name! I looked up to see if she had any connection to the Defender, and it seems she was a staff journalist there for a few years, during which time she did a single-panel called Candy. I can only find a couple of those online, so here’s hoping! The exhibition isn’t even open yet and I’m already learning new stuff. Classic Zits

Times have changed a lot and fast, in that way at least. Same here. I'm certain I've said or posted things in those past threads that would horrify me today. Ugh. Edgy humor. Apologizing in advance in case anybody finds anything horrible; I'm glad we live in more empathetic times now. EasyEW posted:COVID Winkerplague The general disdain and smugness these strips have toward other people and their kindness, plus the look on Funky's face, plus how jokes and punchlines work all make me think we're supposed to think that pizza mask is dumb. But actually I think it's kind of rad and if someone had made one for me I'd have been touched by their thoughtfulness. Also, as anyone else who made a few masks in the darker days knows, mask making is a pain in the rear end, especially if you want to make a nice one. Looks like the one Funky's got has some nice binding on the edges and a nose wire and everything. Good nose wires were hard to get for a while, as was the appropriate size of elastic. Be grateful your MIL loves you and wants to do something nice, you crusty old windbag. I wonder if the other AA members are ever allowed to speak.
