I *think* admins can probate for any amount of time, but to change it without a database edit they have to do another probe, overwriting the old one. Since the number on e_e's probe kept changing without new ones being applied means Astral or Jeffrey, since they are the only ones with database access. *This is based on half remembered posts from years ago, so grain of salt

Admins can edit the probation length without any manual database stuff required. This is currently the only way to "undo" an approved probation (queued probations that are not yet approved can be retracted).
