This is the Orange Order today:  It's basically an order of folks who like to march around and commemorate the Battle of the Boyne. They are not the only group of marching bands (republicans even have some too!) but they are the biggest. I might be making it sound like they are a benign organisation but they are not. They like to bang their drums as loud as they can and start riots if they can't march through catholic areas. It's all about triumphalism and tribalism. Yeah, with no underlying principles or a coherent stance about how they think the world works/ should be organised, these are just empty words and the public will recognise that very clearly. At least they've not wasted money getting them carved into a perfectly good slab of stone this time round.
