I do love the implication of making the NXT Champion wrestle a dark match. He may be the champ of your "indy" fed, HHH, but that still doesn't mean he's good enough for the "real" show.

I assumed the dark match was Vince wanting to see if Kross can do anything other than be a lumbering oaf. Like maybe Vince found Tommy End's character bible under a pile of his office papers and wanted to use the ideas from it.

seems like you could get the booker of the show he's champ of to book the kind of match you want to see him do then instead of rounding him up to work at ten PM on a Friday, at least then you wind up with content for your content grist mill

It will have to be scrapped and he will have to be flogged and publicly embarrassed for not being able to do the exact vision that is in Vince's dying mind palace.

We're told he's been back at the Performance Center for quite some time and is more than good to go, and has been making creative pitches for a significant character change based on what we've seen of him in the past. Reeves was briefly given a push in 2018 before being pushed back down the card, but we've had numerous guest coaches specifically point him out as someone they've enjoyed working with when they came in for spots at the Performance Center.

I turned on the FS1 SD replay while I was doing chores and like 5 minutes in Nakamura's remixed theme song was so physically painful to listen to I found something else as background noise. WWE really loves annoying guys with guitars, huh?

Vince really loving hates when people enjoy the themes of people on the main roster. Bobby Roode got similar treatment. Before that it was Fandango who got taken off TV when his theme got organically over post Wrestlemania and went viral and WWE were confused when WWE sucked the fun out of it by saying "LOOK MAGGLE THEY'RE FANDAGOING EVERYONE DO THE FANDANGO" over and over on TV.

Johnny Gargano, Tamasso Ciampa, and Oney Lorcan have also been on the brand pretty consistently since 2015 but I think Gargano and Ciampa stayed there by choice
