i read BACK and He is a Goody Boy Back is great and i loved it a whole whole lot but a lil slow to start he is a good boy is old school kc depression stream of consciousness with a little bit of ultra violence and an inscrutable story tacked on. didnt like it as much.

Inspired by some of the other posters itt, I'd like to serially post one of my favorite comics ever: The original DOOM comic! The entire thing is up on Doomworld if you want to go and read it there, and it's fairly short, but I figured I'd post it here a few pages at a time over a few posts for anyone who hasn't read it before. One of my favorite things about it is how accurate to the games it is. The way the comic is written really feels like the writer was given a copy of the game which they played through until they could figure out a coherent moment-to-moment story they could tell about a lone guy fighting demons with bigger and bigger guns. It doesn't dwell too long on the protagonist's character, and fighting demons seems to have almost completely consumed his mind by the time the comic starts. He's a madman scrambling around, killing anything that moves and constantly chattering to himself. I think this comic was a big influence in the character of the doomguy when they rebooted him for the 2016 game. When the comic starts, our hero is high on the rush of a berserk pack:     oh no! Can our hero find a bigger gun?   ACKSHYUALLY berserk packs last for the whole level, but when the red screen effect fades it's natural to assume the effect fades too. I thought so for many years and clearly the writer assumed so too
