thankfully he never gave like, actual dimensions of the rocks, so when he implies the rocks are too big to have been moved by man, you can just imagine bigger rocks that definitely could not have been moved by man

I always interpreted as being more "uncivilised" than "old", which definitely has some dodgy implications. There's also some similarity to the whole "people can't have built the pyramids, must have been aliens" thing, which strangely never gets applied to things that dead white europeans people made.
