Kaker, as the owner of a very well used 97 usdm 4runner with a stick, all I will say is that your surf is 100% what dreams are made of. That's one of the all time best toyota 4wds right there, in immaculate shape.

Not bad ones either but goodness that community loves to huff their own farts so much that it turns me off of the whole place. From what others have told me Cars and Bids is currently where Bring a Trailer used to be. Otherwise I think I can do quite well just cleaning it up myself and listing it, and waiting. If someone did want a JZX90 you don't have many options, and having one of the best ones in the country should be enough to steer them to find us. wilfredmerriweathr posted:Kaker, as the owner of a very well used 97 usdm 4runner with a stick, all I will say is that your surf is 100% what dreams are made of. ToyoAce is all cleaned up and photographed. Going to get it listed here soon and see if there is a market for it. As expected it cleaned up really well. Formula 303 for all the interior plastics does incredible things and courtesy of the detailing thread was informed about 'Bleche Wite'. It's a rubber-specific sort of cleaner meant for tires, absolutely great for that. It's also great for the giant-rear end mono-mat. EDIT whoops forgot to post that we sold the Pajero today. It was cool but man, from an effort/profit ratio, plus with our own biases it's hard to not just bet on Toyotas all the time. KakerMix fucked around with this message at 03:54 on Jun 27, 2021 |

I love that truck. Wish I could afford/had a place to put it. Bleche-Wite is good stuff. NI’ve used it for years on tires, since I had white-letter tires in the Cutlass for most of its life in my care. Gets the white letters white, and the black sidewalk black and *matte*. I hate glossy tires. It used to be made by Westley’s, but I guess was bought by Black Magic.

Yep, it's something you've absolutely seen before. 1996 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, two-door short wheelbase 4x4 KZ turbo diesel powered compact SUV with a 5 speed manual and solid axles. This one is a bit more unique than normal because it's the very end of the line for the first gens AND it has a (working) integrated Toyota electric winch. Based on the rear bumper treatment this was probably a working vehicle in some capacity. It's quite dirty but mechanically wonderfully maintained with a big ol' stack of maintenance history. The head unit is an older one that my phone INSISTS is a physical keyboard, with a slow resistive touchscreen. Speakers sound OK otherwise. Everything works including AC, even the tires are from last year. This one is simply going to get an oil change and a deep clean but otherwise is as she sits. Same dark green color as our two-tone widebody Prado, just all one color and a narrow body. Cool, great. What is far more interesting about this Prado is what we found inside it. A yellow windsock-shaped bag was stuffed underneath the carpet, under the driver's seat with a book inside. We also found a small blue bag tucked behind the winch controls in the back seat cubby. Bootleg porn DVDs (video CDs?) and a combination pick up artist manual and sex instructional booklet. The only physical media player I have access to these days is literally the DVD-capable head unit installed in this Prado, and on account of finding hidden porn in it I can only surmise that those discs can be played in the unit. Wonderful. The DVDs were in the blue bag, the manual was in the yellow bag stuffed under the seat. Let's peek inside the book and wave our translator app over it!

Uhhhhhh Hmm. I really don't want to be first post with content to follow that up, but I've got a baby on the way (thanks to those instructions no doubt) and am looking to consolidate my fleet, so my 2002 S210P Hijet Jumbo is first to go. Any ideas on what a rusty no paperwork S210P Hijet is worth in California? It has 78K kms, EF-SE SOHC 660cc 3 cyl, 5 speed S/R pushbuttom 4WD, rear diff lock, power windows and A/C. It previously had some sort of California commerical off-highway registration, but I bought it from a guy who obviously got it from a farm's scrap pile. Its wildly rusty, with rust through the front frame rails, the engine cover in the bed, the left side lower door hinge area, and the rear cab is wasted. Nowhere else of consequence is rusty, though, and the normal problem areas I've seen from the auctions are clean The previous owners let it run so long without maintenance that it had injested most of its air filter and the metal frame, so #3 cylinder has awful compression. The guy I got it from had put in the battery backwards and roasted the ECU and alternator, so I bought an ECU from Be Forward, a cam sensor and air filter from GR Imports, and an eBay alternator. I have new offroad tires (22x7x12), that totally cool dead screen $12 Blaupunkt radio, a LSV triangle, rear cargo light, and will do the timing belt. Think it'd move for $4000? Its here in California, so the cab with A/C is likely a big seller. I'll take pictures when it isn't 95deg at 8pm! I really don't know, but 4k seems pretty steep if it's as rusty as you say it is, and it not being road legal. Then again there might be a whole bunch of got-a-ton-of-land people out there that would love it, since an enclosed AC kei truck will crush any of those weird ATV things people drive around in. Those things are expensive, yeah? harperdc posted:Importing from Japan: Nanpa Know How I assumed it was a translation of trying to make women not only orgasm, but squirt. See illustrations helpfully provided Japanese Linguistics minute: the Japanese term for orgasm is “to go,” iku/ikimasu いく and the phrase on the cover is conjugated to say “make [someone] go” ikaseru いかせる written as イカせる for emphasis. (There’s also an old joke about American/Japanese couples not knowing if they’re coming or going that makes sense in this context) It also just so happens ika イカ is Japanese for squid so the translator grabbed that. Rice fields get soaked and flooded, so thats why it’s a level below Super Soaker

Those things are expensive, yeah? Yeah, its firmly in the 'ranch utility vehicle' category. A normal utility vehicle with the enclosed cab and A/C is $25k+ so its a relative bargain. I paid $1200 for it, probably put in $900 with tires and parts, (and I forgot it had broken headlights so $500 later from eBay...), so even if I took $3500 I'd still make something. I did get to have it as a neat project and used it around the ranch here so even breaking even would be a win.

1992 Katsuzaka Construction No. 15 Toyota Hilux SSR Active Base, a pretty blue diesel 5 speed manual 4WD Hilux double cab with AC. 'Active Base' means the whole crane deal, and looking through this manual I think I understand why I couldn't easily find information on this crane thing. It's because it looks like Toyota considered the crane integrated into the truck so much that it's tied to the chassis ID (aka VIN). There is some chassis modification going on with the jack support on the rear left, and special from-Toyota sticker stuck on both the crane itself and here in the manual. Looking at the diagram included with it, the crane is just a winch and bottle jack configured cleverly. It has a specific tool that lets you raise and pivot the crane. I am missing the L-shaped adapter bit that's supposed to go on top of your normal bottle jack to stabilize the whole truck when crane'n on the rear left corner. Did come with the winch controls though! The interior BLUE, also absolutely filthy in a way that only a 200k km construction truck could be, I doubt it has ever been cleaned in its entire life. However the seats were covered in the ugliest thick vinyl covers I've ever seen and as a result the OG fabric underneath is spotless after we tore them off. Maybe this isn't strange, but this is a non-smoker's car too. No smoke, burns, ashtray is clean and the lighter hasn't been used. Not knowing anything I'd assume construction workers would smoke as much as the salary men. Maybe this being a company truck means you weren't allowed. Batteries are new, tires are shot and it needs a very deep clean. Timing belt light is on as well so that will need to be done as well. Otherwise this is a wholly unique Hilux and I'm stoked to dive into it.

It’s a holder for photo booth aka ‘print club’ aka purikura photos. Considering the popularity of photo booth stuff in 1990s Japan, it’s absolutely a thing. You’re more likely to see that sort of thing in a private car but hey the work truck can get a photo too I guess.
