King of the Ring 2002. It wasn't even a bad match, people liked it. Bit botchy in parts so the consensus was like 3 / 3.5 stars, but Jericho went off because he thought it was a MOTY contender.

I could see Hangman go after Miro and say "Oh I'm doing it because Miro doesn't respect Dark Order and beat Uno". Maybe even have someone call him out on avoiding Kenny. But then the question is, do you have Hangman beat Miro, only to lose it at some point before fighting Kenny? Or do you eventually build to a title vs title match? Or have Hangman lose to Miro, then have to move up the rankings again to go after Kenny?

I wonder how ambitious it would be to have an AEW event where Kenny has to defend every single one of his belts in one night. I'm sure physically, he could and make every match awesome but I dunno about the optics of like, two straight hours of Kenny Omega matches.

My favorite small detail is that people are *slowly* discovering the cracks in Kenny Omega's armor and starting to chip away at them, but he's still that drat good. The One Winged Angel has been countered and slipped out of, but it still guarantees a victory if he hits it. It's still going to be a huge deal when someone finally beats him, he's not just a one trick heel that relies on interference to steal wins away. It's also going to be insane if/when someone kicks out of the One Winged Angel.

I do think we're about to have rubber meat the road on Hangman. Kenny mentioning that he's pretty injured and considering retirement really makes me think he's not got long in the tank in general. I would love more years of Kenny wrestling, especially since he has put on some loving wild poo poo in AEW, but I also want that dude well and happy for the years of entertainment he's given us. I agree with the poster who said something along the lines that someone from the Dark Order is going to enter the Elite's crosshairs and it'll light a fire under Hangman's rear end. There's a lot of build right now that Kenny and the Bucks are making more enemies then they can handle, so that build needs to spark real soon.

I still think Full Gear is more likely than All Out for Hangman's title win, mostly cause I think it would be silly to have Kenny drop the belt before giving Darby a PPV main event

His journey to the top is just as much about beating his own demons as it is beating Kenny. This is the only storyline I can think of like this and it's so fascinating. It's like I'm not really in doubt if Hangman can beat Kenny. I know he can. The question is can he defeat himself.
