I'm pretty new to the game, but i think the late flea is a good idea. Today's raids have been much more interesting than the late-wipe, one tap situation, so hopefully this change will extend that.

The solution to making late-wipe raids fun is to severely nerf high tier equipment, not making toilet paper artificially valuable. There's not a single helmet IRL that will stop a full-power rifle round and it should be the same in Tarkov. Also, all those fancy attachments on real guns aren't installed from the factory for a reason. If you could be airholed running around in a million rubles of equipment by a dipshit running a 20000 ruble shotgun with hunting slugs then late game remains interesting for everyone.

Another tip, open up the guns on the vendors and examine the parts. When you examine the gun it doesn't do all of the individual parts as well. "I know this is an AK-74u, but... what is this thing hanging out of it?"  Edit: You can middle click to examine to make it go quicker. That's a good point it's good that the player count smashes into a brick wall once everyone collectively reaches the part of the game that Nikita ideally thinks Tarkov should be like all the time. You're right. I take it back. The problem is that the meta-game isn't tedious enough.

These changes feel like BSG wants the game to be about scavenging and struggling instead of a proto-milsim and to be honest - that sucks. if I wanted to be miserable and grind out collectibles I'd play an MMO.

That's one of problems with a game that's in beta for 4-5 years before releasing. It starts out one way but as they gradually build out the game, it changes. People are used to it being one way but as new features are implemented or fixed/changed, the game people thought they were playing turns into a game they didn't want to play. I feel kind of bad for people that paid $140 for a game they thought was something but it turns out to be something else. Oh well, can't make everyone happy and don't think this is isolated to only a few of you. I imagine if you go on Reddit there are thousands of people that are upset with how the game is progressing.

Upper tier helmets are sort of a trap and are only really useful with high ricochet chances. They’ll only rarely save you from headshots. I pretty much only wear a helmet to Also, the imbalance inherent in the game design is actually cool and good. Killing gearlords with poo poo equipment owns. Be like me and take budget poo poo in every raid but have a mag full of AP rounds and walk out with someone else’s poo poo.

There are definitely a lot of people who gain satisfaction from seeing a high rouble count and I have no idea why. I like to treat this game as like a persistent battle royale. Instead of going from lovely gear to amazing gear in one map, it takes place over several games. Instead of it all going away when the match ends, it rolls over.

I think weapon durability is an interesting way to try to balance higher end ammo but I’m not sure how effective it will be when the people running top tier ammo have 40 million rubles and could effortlessly replace any gun every raid

I'm curious how many people bought Tarkov wanting the run and gun, heavy gun porn arcade experience which has been sold by streamers for a while now (not saying that's where your interest in the game came from, it's just the most egregious source) and how many people have actually bought it for what it'll eventually become and has been pitched as, as well as was for the first few patches.

BSG is fixing the scav karma system, thank god. I am glad that the community complained about a poo poo feature, so it's now being changed, instead of just accepting the bad features as intentional design

Snipped few hours off my sleep and leveled up to seven, got some quests done, some hideout upgrades, loads of kills and even some players. I really like this patch at the moment.
