I started this thinking it would be a fun bit of nostalgia and that the comic deserved to be as remembered just as much as loss or jazz hands. But really it's just been gross and sad. From that page onwards it's still a terrible comic, but more in a "I would have voted for Obama a third time" way. For the morbid and curious, the rest can be read here (we only made it 1/3 through). i did think the cat at the coffee shop was a nod to newshounds, I didn't know the whole thing was i do think the reaction to it is a bit overblown, but that one particular page is... yeah

I saw that raine dog thing in the good webcomic thread in byob, and for a second I thought that what was the spaying scar was something much more graphic and obscene. That dude totally hosed his dog, why would they spay it otherwise?

Glad people are enjoying The Wario Diaries. I remembered it existed and immediately started posting, it's a prefect fit for daily updates I think. It's the same trick Chris Hastings pulled repeatedly with Dr McNinja -- somehow build out a setting for a solid story on a foundation of the thinnest jokes possible. It's impressive.
